Mike Bhana has been writing and directing film and television for the past 19 years. His history reflects a love of the natural history genre and more specifically the ocean, but his portfolio of films is far broader including working with and filming the Red Cross in some of the most dangerous and stricken areas of the planet.
Mike has produced 18 films exclusively on sharks – more than any other producer. His shark images have been seen in more than 100 films worldwide and is one of the curators of Planet Shark – an international exhibition on sharks currently installed at the Georgia Aquarium in the USA.
Mike was involved in some of the earliest testing of Shark Shield devices with Ian “Shark” Gordon in the early 2000s and knows first hand how well Shark Shield works.
